Howard Bank Names Daniel Garroway Director of Business Intelligence
BALTIMORE, MD, January 23, 2020 – Howard Bank, a community-focused commercial bank serving businesses, professionals and individuals in the Greater Baltimore area, announced today that Daniel Garroway has been promoted to Director of Business Intelligence.
Garroway has more than 10 years of experience in the banking industry, specializing in data analysis and information management. He will use his banking and leadership experience to help direct Howard Bank’s data and analytics team.
“Daniel has an exceptional background in helping to use data to develop solutions, and in the banking industry as a whole,” said Steve Poynot, Howard Bank’s Chief Information Officer. “His promotion is well deserved. We’re happy to have Daniel leading our team.”
Garroway began his banking career in 2009 with Howard Bank as a credit analyst, before moving into a financial analyst role in 2012. In 2013, Garroway worked as an investment banking controller with Morgan Stanley in Baltimore. He left Baltimore in 2014 to work for Scottrade Bank in St. Louis, Missouri for three years before returning to Baltimore in 2017 to rejoin Howard Bank as a Vice President on the Data Team.
Garroway graduated from Binghamton University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and marketing. In 2011, he graduated with an MBA in finance from Loyola University of Maryland.
