This fall Howard Bank celebrates our ten-year anniversary, thanks in no small part to the fantastic community, partners and customers we’ve been fortunate enough to work with over the years. While we were busy with our grand opening a mere ten years ago here in Maryland, here’s what was happening in the rest of the world, from technology to entertainment, politics and prices.

• North Korea banned mobile phones • 9.3 magnitude earthquake hit Pacific islands, killing 230,000 people • Summer Olympics were held in Athens • The Boston Red Sox won World Series for first time in 86 years
