Kelly Rawleigh, Howard Bank VP and Director of Deposit Operations, Completes Maryland Bankers Association's Emerging Leaders “Champion” Program
BALTIMORE, MD, October 2, 2019 – Howard Bank, a growth-focused community bank serving businesses, professionals and individuals in the Greater Baltimore area, announced today that Kelly Rawleigh, Vice President, Director of Deposit Operations, has graduated from the Maryland Bankers Association’s Emerging Leaders “Champion” Program.
The one-year program is designed for bankers interested in furthering their careers and becoming more involved in the banking industry. Champions become experts in leadership development, peer networking, learning from industry and advocacy experts, and gaining a better understanding of the MBA. Champions also cultivate new skills by becoming involved in leadership development, peer networking and by attending educational sessions with industry, community and advocacy leaders.
“We are proud of Kelly’s dedication not only to the future of Howard Bank, but for showing a passion for learning about the banking industry,” said Mary Ann Scully, Chairman and CEO of Howard Bank. “Kelly has distinguished herself at Howard Bank and we are confident she’ll continue to grow as her career unfolds. She is certainly a valuable asset to the bank.”
Over the course of the Emerging Leaders program, the Champions met for seven different “anchor meetings” at locations across Maryland. They completed a professional development and advocacy requirement and organized an Emerging Leaders community service project.
Howard Bank employees will make up four of the 29 bankers in the Emerging Leaders program next year. The 2020 graduates include Erica Starr, Director of Marketing; Jamie Bennett, Branch Manager; Latoya Nichols, Real Estate Credit Officer; and Anne Waring, Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager.
