Howard Bank Names Barry Cronin Commercial Relationship Manager
BALTIMORE, MD, January 13, 2020 – Howard Bank, a community-focused commercial bank serving businesses, professionals and individuals in the Greater Baltimore area, announced today that it has promoted Barry Cronin to Commercial Relationship Manager.
Cronin will be responsible for managing middle-market loans and deposits in the Baltimore region.
We are thrilled to promote Barry, who has been an important contributor to the Howard Bank team,” said Frank Turner, Executive Vice President, Chief Commerical Banking Officer of Howard Bank. “He has been in the banking industry for roughly 10 years and his knowledge and connections position him well for his new role at Howard Bank.”
Cronin began his banking career in 2007 with First Mariner Bank as a bank teller before becoming a mortgage loan operations specialist. He spent 11 years at First Mariner in various roles including, sales specialist, operations manager of financial services, and relationship administrator prior to the merger between Howard and First Mariner in 2018. Most recently, he served as portfolio manager where he underwrote a portfolio of middle-market loans and deposits.
In his free time, Cronin volunteers in the Canton Community of Baltimore. As a long-standing city resident, he was elected to sit on the board at Live Baltimore, a nonprofit organization that helps to recruit and retain Baltimore City residents.
Cronin graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government and economics. He is also a graduate of the Gilman School.
