Howard Bank Leadership Named to The Daily Record’s Power 30 Banking and Finance List

Inaugural list recognizes most influential figures in Maryland within the financial industry

BALTIMORE, MD, June 30, 2021 – Howard Bank, a commercial-focused community bank serving businesses, professionals, and individuals, is proud to announce that Mary Ann Scully, Chairman and CEO, and Robert Kunisch, President and COO, have been named to The Daily Record’s Power 30 Banking and Finance List.

Those named to list have been selected as the most significant, influential, and respected leaders in the state who have responded to the past year’s challenges with innovation and drive— and in turn, have shaped the future of banking and financial services.

“I’m honored to be named to The Daily Record’s Power 30 List, and I want to extend my congratulations to all the other leaders recognized - - most especially Rob Kunisch. He was the creative energy behind our PPP loans impact as he diligently led the team to help small businesses receive much-needed support,” said Mary Ann Scully, Chairman and CEO of Howard Bank. “The real power in what we do is not about delivering a service, but around helping a community to be successful.”

“Together, we have the privilege of shaping the economic fortunes of Maryland— a role that holds great weight,” said Robert Kunisch, President and COO of Howard Bank. “I’m privileged to lead an institution with Mary Ann that is focused on the local community above all else.”

This is the first year the list has been published, as The Daily Record is holding a series of power lists throughout 2021 that will showcase the most powerful leaders in law, higher education, health care, and manufacturing in addition to finance. Mary Ann Scully was named to the Daily Record’s inaugural Power 100 list earlier this year— which recognizes the rich fabric of leadership in Maryland.
