Howard Bank Hires Terry Weber as Chief Accounting Officer and Senior Vice President

Baltimore, MD, November 16, 2020- Howard Bank, a growth-focused community bank serving businesses, professionals, and individuals in the Greater Baltimore area, announced today that Terry Weber will assume the newly created position of Chief Accounting Officer, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer for Howard Bank. As Chief Accounting Officer, Weber will oversee strengthening the accounting and finance teams, make sure that SOX controls are appropriately documented and running effectively, and additionally evaluate how well Howard Bank is optimizing the capabilities of their core Fiserv general ledger.

Weber got his foot in the accounting world in 1994, where he worked as a Senior Associate Auditor at KPMG LLP in Sacramento until 1997. From 1997 to 1999, Weber worked as the Accounting Manager for SPL World Group Consulting in San Francisco. After that, Weber worked at Providian Financial Corporation from 1999-2005 where he had stints working as the Financial Reporting Manager and Director of Financial Reporting. After Providian, Weber made the jump to DC where he worked at Fannie Mae as their Director of Financial Reporting and GL Operations from 2005-2007. From 2007-2008, Weber worked as the Assistant Controller of MMA Capital Management in Baltimore. After that, Weber worked at Eagle Bancorp from 2008-2020, where he served as Vice President and Director of Financial Reporting, Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller, and Executive Vice President and Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer.

Weber graduated from California State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance.
