Howard Bank’s Barry Cronin Named To The Daily Record’s VIP List
Baltimore, MD, July 20, 2020- Howard Bank, a growth-focused community bank serving businesses, professionals and individuals in the Greater Baltimore area, announced today that Barry Cronin has been named to The Daily Record’s VIP List – Very Important Professionals Successful by 40 awards.
The Daily Record’s VIP List was created in 2010 to recognize professionals 40 years of age and younger who have been successful in Maryland. Honorees are selected based off their professional accomplishments, community service, and commitment to inspire change. Only 40 honorees are awarded each year, according to the newspaper.
“It’s a huge honor being recognized by The Daily Record,” said Cronin. “It’s very rewarding to make this exclusive list that honors Maryland’s youngest and brightest professionals, community leaders, and entrepreneurs.”
Cronin is a Franklin and Marshall College graduate and has been in banking since 2007, where he started off at 1st Mariner Bank. He spent 11 years at 1st Mariner where he gained experience working in multiple different roles from sales specialist, operations manager to relationship administrator. After Howard Bank and 1st Mariner Bank merged in 2018, Cronin served as Howard Bank’s portfolio manager, but has recently been promoted to Commercial Relationship Manager.
"VIP List honorees perform great work every day. They are leaving their mark on neighborhoods, towns, cities and institutions that shape life in Maryland," said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, group publisher of The Daily Record. "They use their influence and knowledge to help create opportunities for others. We at The Daily Record are honored to recognize their achievements."
In his free time, Cronin volunteers in the Canton Community of Baltimore. As a long-standing city resident, he was elected to sit on the board at Live Baltimore, a nonprofit organization that helps to recruit and retain Baltimore City residents.
