Here are the Best in Finance: 2018 CFO Award honorees

Baltimore Business Journal

Howard's CFO, George Coffman has been selected as a Baltimore Business Journal's Best in Finance: 2018 CFO Award honoree.

From restructuring financial systems and leading multi-million dollar acquisitions to increasing revenue and launching capital campaigns, the Baltimore Business Journal's Best in Finance: 2018 CFO Award honorees are making a big impact at the companies and organizations where they work.

The eight top financial officers we've chosen come from a variety of industries, including the arts, sports, advertising, technology and banking. Some of the companies they support are small while others are among Greater Baltimore's largest publicly-traded companies. But regardless of size or industry, financial health is essential to any company and our honorees are often the ones working behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly and the books are in order.

You can view the honorees in the slideshow.

We selected our honorees based on nominations sourced from readers and the knowledge of our reporters and editors. Candidates were required to be a CFO or top financial manager, be based in Greater Baltimore and have at least one year on the job. The BBJ looked for people who have demonstrated significant financial growth, overcome business challenges, shown team leadership and contributed to the community, among other achievements.

To learn more about our honorees, check out the Sept. 21 issue of the BBJ and make sure to mark your calendars for our event on the morning of Sept. 20 at the Lord Baltimore Hotel.
