At Howard Bank, the health and well-being of our customers, colleagues, and communities are our top priority. With the CDC’s updated guidance, we have made a few updates to our safety protocols to align with the new guidance.  

All Howard Bank lobbies will reopen to the public on Monday, June 14th

Face Coverings 

Effective, Monday, June 14th, we will no longer require fully vaccinated customers or team members to wear face coverings, except where it’s required by local ordinances (i.e. Baltimore City). Face coverings are still required for customers and team members who are not fully vaccinated. Individuals wearing face coverings may be asked to briefly lower them and provide identification prior to entering a branch. 

All employees who have customer contact will have a mask on-hand in the event that a customer asks a bank employee to wear a mask for the customer’s protection while servicing them. We will make this accommodation to ensure our customers feel safe while they transact business with the bank. 

 

Social Distancing 

Upon entering the branch, all customers must maintain social distancing (6-feet apart). Our floors have Howard Bank "h"  markers to help guide customers and enforce adequate distance. 

 

Enhanced Cleanings

We will continue our increased sanitization and daily cleaning measures. Hand sanitizing stations are available at every branch for customer use. Upgrades to our HVAC systems were completed to ensure cleaner air circulation throughout the buildings including the use of an ultraviolet light system as recommended by the CDC to promote an extra level of defense against the spread of viruses. 

 

Extra Protection

Our branches have plexiglass shields installed at the teller line stations and platform area. These shields help to provide an extra layer of protection both to our customers and employees and allows transactions to be as contactless as possible.

 

No Entry With Symptoms

Please do not enter any of our facilities if you are sick or experiencing any COVID-like symptoms. While we are doing all we can to keep our customers and employees safe, the best protection comes from you!

 

Digital & Drive-Thru Options

If you do not feel comfortable entering our branches, you still have digital banking options available to you. We encourage you to utilize digital banking options as much as possible. You can access your account information and perform a multitude of transactions on your mobile phone or computer. You also have the ability to conduct your banking via drive-thru at our locations that offer drive-thru services. While we realize that not all banking activities can be done via drive-thru, we are committed to doing our best to service your banking needs and/or work with you to make accommodations to do so.
