Howard Bank's Schwabe Named Chair of Maryland Bank Services

Charles Schwabe, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Howard Bank, has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors of Maryland Bank Services, Inc. (MBSI), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Maryland Bankers Association (MBA). MBSI works with qualified vendors to provide products and services that allow MBA member banks to enhance revenue or reduce expenses. Schwabe has served on the MBSI Board since 2007.

Schwabe is also President of the Columbia Festival of the Arts Board of Trustees and serves on the Howard County Good Scout Leadership Award Committee and the Catholic Charities Leadership Breakfast Campaign Committee. He is a member of the America Bankers Association's Commercial Product Advisory Board and of the Advisory Board for Safe Systems, an information technology firm.
