Howard Bank's Scharf Chosen for Top 100 Women

Rosa M. Scharf, Senior Vice President for Howard Bank, is one of the 2012 Maryland's Top 100 Women honorees selected by The Daily Record. The award will be presented May 7, at The Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

Scharf was also a 2008 Maryland's Top 100 Women honoree, and was named the 2008 United State Small Business Administration Financial Services Champion of the Year. She also won the 2007 Individual Achievement Award from the Howard County Economic Development Authority. She is a graduate of Leadership Howard County.

Among her civic activities, Scharf has served as chair of The Jim Rouse Entrepreneurial Fund, vice chair of the Howard County Division of the American Heart Association, and served as a member of the board of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce, the Boy Scouts of Central Maryland, and the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland.

Howard Bank opened in 2004. It now has branches in the Village of Hickory Ridge in Columbia, on Snowden River Parkway in Ellicott City, on Johns Hopkins Road in Maple Lawn and at the intersection of Route 40 and Centennial Lane in Ellicott City.
