Howard Bank’s Mary Ann Scully Wins Influential Marylander Award

Howard Bank chairman, president and CEO Mary Ann Scully has been named one of 50 Influential Marylanders by the The Daily Record. The award honors business and community leaders who made a significant impact and are influential leaders in Maryland. Scully was one of five honored in the Finance category.

Scully is the Chair of the Maryland Bankers Association (MBA) and the immediate past Chair of the Columbia Foundation, Howard County’s community foundation. She is a trustee of Howard County General Hospital and a trustee of Catholic Charities, and she sits on the President’s Advisory Council of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce.

In 2007, Mary Ann was recognized as an honoree in the Howard County Women’s Hall of Fame, and she was named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Howard County Chamber of Commerce. In 2002, 2005 and 2007, Mary Ann was recognized as one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women by The Daily Record, and was a 2008 Daily Record Influential Marylander. She was the BWN Woman of Distinction in 2008, received the United Way of Central Maryland’s Clementine Peterson Award, was one of the Baltimore Business Journal’s 2004 “Enterprising Women” and is a 2008 Seton Hill University Distinguished Alumni and a 2005 Alumni Laureate honoree for Loyola College. She was named the 2011 recipient of the Howard County Good Scout Award presented by the Baltimore Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.
