Stephan Joins Howard Bank's Annapolis Office

Peter J. Stephan has joined Howard Bank as Vice President, Relationship Manager in the Annapolis office.

He joins the locally owned bank from Sandy Spring Bank in Annapolis, where he was also a Vice President and Relationship Manager. Previously, he handled portfolio management and underwriting for GE Commercial Finance – Healthcare Financial Services.

He has also worked for Bank of America and First Capital Corporation as a Senior Field Examiner. At Bank of America, he managed recurring and new business audits of existing business credit, factoring and leasing clients.

Stephan is a 1993 graduate of Siena College in Albany, NY, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is a graduate of the Commercial Finance Association Field Examiners Training School and has completed the Joe Kaplan Intermediate ABL Audit Seminar.

He lives in Edgewater and is a member of the Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce and the Boys & Girls Club of Anne Arundel County. He was recently elected Vice President of the Anne Arundel Commercial Industrial Association

He was a finisher in the 2009 Cambridge, MD, ½ Ironman race.

Howard Bank recently expanded into Anne Arundel County with a team led by Michael Cavey and staffed with  seasoned  community leaders and relationship managers as well as multifaceted customer support staff.  The bank offers a full array of lending and cash management services for small and medium sized businesses, their owners and executives in the county. The Annapolis office has been approved as a commercial branch, and can accept in person deposits to supplement remote deposit processing carried out in customer offices.

The bank opened in August of 2004.
