Howard Bank's Scharf Speaks At Veteran Entrepreneurship Workshop

Howard Bank Senior Vice President Rosa Scharf will be among the panelists at a July 29 Veteran Entrepreneurship Resources workshop sponsored by Maryland Small Business Development Center.

Scharf will discuss business plans and other requirements for bank financing.

Other topics include SBA resources and programs available to veteran business owners, including the Patriot Express Loan program; accessing government procurement and contracting opportunities; finding counseling on the Federal government bid, proposal and response process; opportunities available to improve your business position; the advantages of applying for a business loan as a veteran rather than as a non-veteran; ways for service-disabled veterans to secure federal contracts; and the SDVOSB no-interest loan program.

The workshop will take place from 9:30 am– 12:30 pm at the Anne Arundel County West Area Library, 1325 Annapolis Road in Odenton.

The workshop is free, but reservations are required.
