Howard Bank Is Named To Smart CEO’s Future 50 List

Howard Bank, the county’s only locally owned and managed community bank, has won a place on SmartCEO Magazine’s Future 50 list for the third year in a row.

Each year, the magazine lists the 50 fastest growing companies in the greater Baltimore region. In choosing the companies to include on the list, the magazine looks at both growth in revenues and employees over the most recent three year period.

“We're very pleased to be named to the list for the third year in a row,” said Howard Bank President and CEO Mary Ann Scully, “and we’re grateful to our employees and the customers who continue to make our growth possible.”

Howard Bank prides itself on its “hands on” approach to community banking. It also expects employees to participate in the community by volunteering with local groups and serving on the boards of community nonprofits.

The bank opened in August of 2004. It currently has branches in the Hickory Ridge Village Center in Columbia, on Snowden River Parkway in Ellicott City and on Johns Hopkins Road in Maple Lawn. Its new Centennial Place branch at the intersection of Centennial Lane and Route 40 is opening this month.
