Scharf Named Top 100 Women
Rosa M. Scharf, senior vice president of Howard Bank, has been named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women for 2008 by The Daily Record.
With more than 20 years of commercial lending experience, Scharf joined Howard Bank in 2004, as a vice president and relationship manager.
Scharf is a board member of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce and The Jim Rouse Entrepreneurial Fund.
In 2007, she received the Individual Achievement Award from the Howard County Economic Development Authority Committee for Business and Economic Diversity and was selected as the Runner-Up as the Maryland Financial Services Champion of the Year in 2005 by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Baltimore District Office.
“Rosa’s leadership in the bank is matched by her long time leadership in community and banking industry activities, both one-on-one and in board activities,” said Mary Ann Scully, President and CEO of Howard Bank, Howard County’s only locally owned and managed bank.
Scharf is a graduate of the University of Baltimore.
